Anne Cochrane was the Senior Research Scientist at the Threatened Flora Seed Centre, Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions, WA.

In her own words:

"I came to science late in life, having studied humanities at university.

"I completed my PhD in my 50's.

"A love of plants and then voluntary work with the Australian Tree Seed Centre collecting seeds led me to a position with the Western Australian government. I became a senior research scientist, managing a long-term seed conservation facility for threatened plant species."
